Its taken quite a while, but I am pleased to be able to offer a quality 7/8" heatsink assembly. I went with a slightly thicker than normal copper base to draw as much heat away from the LED as possible. These units are made specifically for a Tri-Cree LED with an oversized center hole to route the wires through.
Note - Due to the smaller size of the housing, the Tri-Cree LED base (normally aluminum) will need to be modified to properly fit. This can be accomplished by clipping, filing or sanding the edges of the star base to ensure a small amount of clearance within the housing. This is a common process with this sized heatsink.
