Solos Hold Corran Horn Button Conversion Kit

$25.00

Do you own a Solos Hold Corran Horn kit and wish the static red button on the pommel was actually a button? Me to, and now you can make it so! This kit contains the TSM 3D printed holder, black stem momentary switch (legs pre-trimmed), two low profile socket head screws - one long that secures in the holder, and one short to hold the opposite side of the swivel cover, and a TCSS speaker PCB set with 5mm gold plated contact probes.

All that is needed but not included is one (or two drill bits) and the time to knock off the red anodized "button" from where its been glued.

I found that the best size drill bit was a #21, the same sized used to drill an 10-32 hole before tapping. This allowed the switch post to move up and down smoothly. Using that bit I drilled a hole centered in the space where the red anodized cube was mounted. After drilling that hole and deburring the install was an extremely easy process. Lastly, I would recommend using a #29 bit (8-32 hole) to drill a small divot into the bottom of the red cube to create a cap from the cube that can be glued onto the black stem switch post.

To do this, I placed the red cube into the cut out on the pommel and held it in place with a strip of tape. I then placed it under the drill press and drilled through the inside of the pommel with a longer bit. The result is what you see in the photos and video.

**Please note - The items included are the parts shown (sticker included) in the first photo. The pommel itself is not included ;) **
